College advising should feel personal because the decisions are personal.
I guide students and families through the U.S. college admissions journey with care and clarity. At the heart of my work is a simple belief: students make their best decisions when they feel understood, supported, and confident in who they are becoming. By intentionally choosing to work with a limited number of students each year, I am able to offer a truly boutique experience that prioritizes well-being and finding the right fit over the pressure of rankings.
With more than 25 years of experience in decision-driven environments, I bring a structured, thoughtful approach to college counseling. I enjoy helping students see themselves clearly and teaching families how this process works without pressure, so decisions feel informed rather than reactive. As a parent myself, my own journey supporting children has shaped how I work with families navigating academics, athletics, and well-being.
Living in Bradenton, Florida, I enjoy pottery in my free time, a practice that reflects the patience, attention, and understanding I bring to my students. Each journey is unique, and my goal is to thoughtfully shape a path that reflects who you are and what you need to thrive.
How I work
I approach college advising as a whole-student process. Academics, possible majors, activities, testing, campus environment, location, student life, family priorities, and athletics when relevant all shape a student’s experience. I work with both students and parents so students can develop their own ideas and voice, while parents have enough context to feel informed rather than responsible for every detail.
Summitways works with students in a variety of educational paths, including traditional high schools, boarding schools, competitive athletic environments, and demanding schedules. I also support international families who are learning how the U.S. college system differs from what they know. When it’s helpful, I connect families with trusted independent specialists, such as SAT or ACT tutors, who work separately from Summitways. The goal is not to add more people to the process, but to bring in the right expertise when it truly benefits the student.
Ultimately, what matters most is not admission to the most selective college possible, but helping a student arrive at college with strong options, a clearer sense of what they want, and confidence that the school they choose fits the life they hope to build there.
Boutique guidance. Thoughtful choices. Strong options.
